User numbers require an explicit action
Product interviews and official websites often introduce users or customer scale. Whether the number describes registration, downloading, actual tasks, or paying subjects will affect readers' understanding. This article does not reiterate the specific scale, but proposes a verification method to avoid replacing different indicators with each other.
Look at the number of people, also look at the period and deduplication
The same person may have multiple accounts, and the same enterprise may have multiple users. The statistical unit, time interval and deduplication method should be confirmed first before discussing changes. When different products share users, they cannot simply be added up to form the total number of independent customers.
There are also statuses such as delivery, refund, and reuse between use and payment. You can record every step clearly and observe where users fail to complete tasks, rather than attributing non-payment to insufficient marketing. Income also needs to be based on transactions and periods, and cannot be calculated by multiplying the number of users by the page price.
