After Jing'an's AI Film Showcase: An Adaptation Brief before Commercial Work

Labor Watch reported on October 24 that a project order signing was held at the Jing’an AI Film and Television College Students OPC Show. This article starts from the transition from work display to commercial production and discusses how to complete the client's goals, material permissions, version adaptation and delivery scope; the signing progress and the actual payment are recorded separately, and the award-winning or warehousing is not directly written as the success of the business.

For a work to be recognized in a performance and for it to directly enter the client's communication plan are two separate tasks that need to be completed. According to a report by Labor Watch on October 24, there was a cooperation contract signed at the Jing’an AI Film and Television College Student OPC Show, and the follow-up direction involves AI cultural tourism advertising. The report did not provide a complete contract, acceptance record or proof of payment, and this article does not confirm that commercial delivery has been completed.

First ask the client what they need the audience to do

Competition entries often revolve around the creator's thematic expression; client projects may introduce a tour route, illustrate an activity, or help viewers understand a place. Before production, you should confirm the audience, release location, and expected actions after viewing, and then decide which parts of the original work can be retained.

For example, a two-minute short film that relies on suspense may not be suitable for inclusion on a live screen where visitors only stay for a dozen seconds. When simulating adaptation, you can first use a static storyboard to confirm the location, information sequence and ending screen, and then generate high-cost shots after the customer approves. This is a production suggestion made by ChinaOPC and is not a disclosure of the actual process of reporting on the contracted project.

Compare "demonstrable" and "deliverable" item by item

The music, characters, fonts and external materials in the original work need to be checked separately for allowed uses. Materials used in the competition should not be used for client advertising by default just because the work has been publicly displayed. Who provides the material, who confirms the scope of use, and what to replace it with if there is no basis for it should be recorded before adaptation.

AI-assisted production should also leave material versions and editing records. The client's request to change the narration may affect the dubbing, subtitles, mouth shape and shot length; if the modification is only called "changing a few words", it will be difficult to explain the actual work later. The quotation can be formed based on the confirmed adaptation items, rather than treating the original film as a no-cost template.

Connect creators and customers with a task order

The task list can include the name of the original work, the purpose of this use, retained footage, replacement content, output ratio, subtitle version, confirmer and revision round. Each confirmation point is accompanied by a corresponding preview file to prevent customers from viewing the previous version while the team continues to produce another version.

At the end of the delivery, the film receipt, content confirmation, release permission and payment status are recorded respectively. When introducing cases in the future, they will also be described based on demonstrable progress. For a young team, the value of their first commercial project is not only a showcase opportunity, but also learning to correlate creative judgment, customer confirmation, and production investment.
