This update records the progress after docking.
According to an official report from Huairou Science City on October 19, the AI for Science·OPC Innovation Challenge demand matching meeting was held from October 14 to 15. The two parties exchanged ideas on acceptance, data permissions, intellectual property rights, and development nodes. The report clearly stated that registration ended on October 10; this article is for observing follow-up collaboration, not a registration notice.
According to the proposed schedule in the report, the research and development cycle will be from October 16 to November 5. Offline demonstration and verification will be carried out first, and then on-site deployment will be promoted. The report also mentioned the arrangements for signing the confirmation letter for the release of the list. Confirming participation, completing research and development, passing the review and signing the procurement contract are different stages. The docking quantity cannot be written as a firm order or realized revenue.
Scientific research needs are first converted into issues that can be inspected by both parties.
The following is an independent working method proposed by ChinaOPC and is not an official template for the event. After receiving a scenario, you can first use a one-page description to record the task object, the current processing method, which step you hope to improve, who will judge the results, and which tasks will not enter this round yet. If you encounter fields with unclear professional meanings, hand them over to the requester for confirmation, and AI will not provide a seemingly complete explanation.
Taking equipment monitoring as a simulation scenario, the team may obtain historical records, but they also need to know whether the time is aligned, which records have been manually confirmed, and what the missing values mean. There is no threshold for a certain instrument, nor is it inferred that the scientific research institutions mentioned in the source article have adopted the method in this article; the key is to let subsequent tests know what they are based on.
Data handover must be accompanied by explanation and scope of use
The data version, field descriptions, known gaps, readable ranges, and problem contacts can be recorded during handover. Obtaining a copy of the data used for competition does not mean obtaining permission to publicly release, train other products, or transfer to partners; these issues need to be handled based on actual authorization and agreement, and the use cannot be expanded by participating in the same event.
If there are only a few examples currently, list the cases that have not yet been covered. The team can conduct limited verification based on existing data, but the boundaries should be stated to avoid generalizing the performance on familiar samples to be applicable to any field. Insufficient data itself is also a research and development fact that requires timely feedback to the demand side.
Offline demonstration to answer ability questions, on-site verification to answer collaboration questions
Offline testing is suitable for checking whether the specified input can form a verifiable output, and retaining failure samples and modification records. Conditions such as data updates, interfaces, accounts, networks and operators will also be added on site. Being able to run it on a development computer does not automatically prove that these prerequisites are met.
Before proceeding to the scene, both parties can be asked to confirm whether it is read-only or write-only, who will review the results, how to pause in case of exceptions, and how on-site personnel will take over. Decisions involving the actual operation of the equipment should be made by authorized professionals. Simulation tests are recorded separately from real operations to avoid allowing demonstration results to pass off as completed on-site acceptance.
When time is limited, give priority to exposing differences.
During the research and development period, the progress can be written as completed, pending confirmation by the demander, affected by external conditions, and not yet covered. For recurring errors, record whether they come from data, rules or implementation, and then decide on the next step. Simply reporting the number of pages and features often fails to explain how far you are from completing an actual task.
The delivery phase can retain the input basis, current version, test results, open issues and next recipients. They are used to support discussions between the parties and do not replace the official rules of the event and the conclusions of the judges. This article has not obtained confirmation letters, contracts or operation logs from each team, nor has it independently verified the operating results of the participants; please see the official original text for complete events, follow-up arrangements and rules descriptions.
