Technical lead and project hypothesis
Index-Translate's official project describes text and image translation, offering a technical lead for product materials containing embedded wording. We use it to design a workflow; see our Index-Translate version guide. Translation capability does not establish print or commercial-release readiness.
Who might need this deliverable
A potential customer is a small supplier preparing for an overseas trade show with Chinese materials but no consistent foreign-language version. Request one authorized page and an existing glossary to distinguish translation, correction of older copy and multilingual version management. These involve different workloads.
Initially agree on a product group, one language and a page count. Assess complex dimensions, unfinished materials or specialist qualifications separately. Secure a competent language reviewer before accepting work beyond the team's review capability.
Make deliverables traceable to originals
Prepare four files: numbered originals, an editable bilingual table, an issue list and approved display files. Carry identifiers throughout, list model numbers and units separately and locate unclear text within its image so the client can find the evidence.
Use self-created fictional product materials for clearly marked samples. Demonstrate consistent terminology, preserved numbers and corrected overflow to make acceptance concrete. Do not present another company's promotional images as evidence of past client work.
First trials and cost records
The acquisition hypothesis is a clearly scoped sample assessment for an existing foreign-language update, without promising overseas orders. Estimate pages, text density, language direction, review rounds and editable-source availability, including third-party tools and external review.
Clients confirm facts, language reviewers confirm expression, and providers check versions and layout. Recheck release files against approved copies. Actual trials establish whether to expand. Our multilingual delivery review can support an acceptance checklist.
