Can Another Founder's SOP Be Reused? Check Customers, Inputs and Acceptance

If you follow someone else's entrepreneurial process and produce results, why might you still not be able to hand them over to your own customers? This article puts data, permissions, industry judgment and acceptance conditions back into each step. It is recommended to use approved samples to record rework and dependencies to help readers identify the applicable scope of the process and then decide whether to invest in more tools, collaboration or execution capabilities.

Process descriptions often omit the premise

Advertising, software and enterprise services in public cases require different experiences and client relationships. Even if an operation step can be reproduced, it does not mean that the requirements, authorizations, costs and delivery responsibilities are simultaneously met. This article discusses how to use the process and does not evaluate specific platform courses.

Write the premise back into the process

When reading the SOP, first mark the information, authority and judgment required for each step to confirm whether you can obtain it. Then check who will use the results, how they will be accepted, and who will deal with failure. If these conditions are not clear, increasing the number of tools or agents will not solve the problem.

You can try it out with approved samples, record which steps must rely on industry knowledge, which steps generate a lot of rework, and then adjust the scope of application. Do not package a successful operation as proven entrepreneurial income, nor use customer raw data as general teaching material.

How to judge whether it is worth continuing

Prioritize the observation of whether the process helps specific customers complete tasks and whether it can leave results that can be handed over. When there is a lack of stable demand, verify the problem first before purchasing or developing more execution capabilities. Further reading: Pilot Boundaries.
