Closing a Small AI Product: Results, Notice and Alternatives

Stopping a product is also a task that needs to be delivered, especially when the customer has saved the data and results. This article discusses how a small team can inventory historical data, clarify exportable content and stop time, and arrange accounts, credentials, and follow-up contacts. The article provides ideas for business and technical inspections. It does not presuppose refunds or contract conclusions, nor does it recommend that sudden page closures replace necessary communication with customers.

Data persistence and credential management material provides technical background. The following is ChinaOPC’s original business analysis. The actual service outage arrangement should be handled in conjunction with the agreement and applicable requirements of both parties.

First know what the customer left

The simulation data generation tool counts the original files, generation results, confirmation records and account information to clarify which content is available to customers. The export should preserve an understandable format and associated descriptions, rather than leaving an unusable database file.

Notification describes specific time and action

Differentiate the time to stop new tasks, stop access and data processing, so that customers know when to export and how to seek help. Alternative products can only be used as self-evaluated options, and customer data cannot be transferred or accounts transferred without consent.

Necessary finishing is still completed after closing

Handle data retention, credential revocation and resource release as agreed, and confirm that no unexpected calls or charges will be incurred. The liability portal for unresolved matters will be retained, and refunds and contract issues will be negotiated separately. This article does not mean that any specific product will be closed, nor does it provide legal conclusions on individual cases.
