Using AI Tools for Clients: Explain Service Fees and Third-Party Consumption

When customers pay a fee, they need to know which of them are team services and which are third-party resource consumption. This article discusses how AI service billing corresponds to tasks, records estimates and actual settlements, and handles retry and trial charges. The article does not provide financial and tax conclusions, nor does it directly regard the supplier's price as the customer's final cost. The focus is on allowing both parties to form a consistent understanding of the cost range.

Trace documentation provides the technical context for task correlation. The following is an analysis of ChinaOPC’s original operations. Specific charges and voucher arrangements are determined by both parties based on actual services and applicable rules.

First determine who will purchase the resources.

The customer has his or her own account, the service provider makes unified purchases and pays for individual items, and the responsibilities and operation methods are different. Explain the account ownership, scope of use, and how to handle it after the end, so as to avoid all projects sharing a personal account that cannot be distinguished for consumption.

Actual costs are presented separately from estimates

Simulate a reporting task, which can record model calling, storage and manual sorting. The official settlement time mark from the supplier that has not yet been received is an estimate, and whether failed retries will be included must also be stated truthfully. Internal estimated costs cannot be packaged as third-party charges that have already been incurred.

Abnormal consumption needs to be checked back

When the cost increases significantly, the task, version and retry reason can be located, instead of just displaying the total amount. Set budget reminders and agree on overage processing to avoid unlimited automated calls. This article does not guarantee that costs will be reduced through separate accounts, nor does it replace accounting and tax treatment opinions.
