FDE Trial Runs: Comparing Shadow-Mode Outputs with Manual Workflows

Enterprises want to try AI processes, but are worried about directly changing the running business. This article designs a controlled bypass test: read authorized input, generate independent results, and then discuss writing after comparing with the original process. The article explains how samples, permissions, and difference records are organized, making it clear that this is a simulated implementation method, and does not package a solution that has not yet been run into a real enterprise success story.

Google SRE's progressive release materials provide engineering background. This article is ChinaOPC FDE deployment plan. The bypass test and formal traffic promotion belong to different stages.

The bypass output cannot affect the original business

Simulate order data sorting and write AI results into an independent testing area, without triggering shipments, notifications or financial actions. The customer approves the input range, the FDE confirms that the read load will not impact existing systems, and a stop entry is set.

Compare actual differences for the same task

Business personnel mark the differences between manual results and AI results, distinguishing between missing data, understanding of rules and model errors. Manual processes can also have errors, so they need to be adjudicated by business owners rather than automatically treating either party as the standard answer.

Whether to proceed to the next stage is determined by evidence

Only discuss limited writes after results, permissions, and resource consumption have been confirmed. Preserve test scope and unresolved issues, and avoid extrapolating the entire business from a small number of normal samples. This article does not mean that it has been run on the customer's system, nor does it guarantee that the bypass test can eliminate all online risks.
