Changping OPC FDE Discussions: Starting Requirements with a Pump and a Report

At the Changping OPC co-creation event on October 25, practitioners shared their search for AI application opportunities from specific scenarios such as equipment, reports and customer feedback. Based on official event reports, this article discusses how FDE converts on-site problems into verifiable tasks, and makes it clear that event sharing does not mean that the project has been launched or that it has brought definite benefits.

What clues does the event information provide?

The website of the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission forwarded the event news of the Future Science City on October 27, introducing the Changping OPC co-creation event on October 25 and the sharing of many practitioners. Among them, the person in charge of Zhizhou Intelligence introduced how to find AI service opportunities from details such as enterprise equipment, reports and feedback; the FDE Innovation Center shared the discussion about the role of forward-deployed engineers.

This is a record of a public communication event. The information does not give the complete implementation details or acceptance results of a certain pump. This article does not splice the content of the two sharers into a completed joint project, nor does it infer the size of their corporate team.

ChinaOPC Analysis: First write equipment problems into tasks

If an enterprise wants to shorten the time it takes to compile an equipment failure report, it can first ask who filled in the report, where the data came from, and what the next user needs. Compiling a report, determining the cause of a fault, and directly controlling the equipment are three different tasks with very different permissions and risks. They cannot be automatically executed together because the inputs are the same.

The first discussion can use an old report that has been authorized and handles sensitive information, and circles the fields that have been filled in repeatedly and the parts that require human judgment. Company personnel confirm whether the material represents actual work before deciding whether to enter trial production.

The output should be able to return to the basis

The trial results can include field drafts, data sources, and issues to be confirmed. When the original report lacks key data, the system should prompt that it is missing; for uncertain causes of failures, manual judgment entry should be retained. Having business people point out what works and what still needs to be reviewed can help narrow down the next round.

The engineering team also needs to confirm how the data is accessed, whether the device is offline, who can view the results and who is responsible for maintenance. The demonstration can generate a table, but it does not mean that it has been securely connected to the existing equipment system.

From prototype to trial operation

You can agree with the customer on a set of normal samples, missing field samples and historical exceptions to check whether the basis and correct prompts are found respectively. During the trial run, first limit the scope of use, record failures, manual corrections and time-consuming, and then decide whether to expand to more devices. What this article proposes is a methodological suggestion and does not mean that the companies reported have adopted these steps.

At the end of the project, hand over the input format, operation instructions and exception handling to the person taking over to confirm whether they can complete the task independently. Related reading: FDE’s responsibility map before entering the market.
