Offline FDE Deployment: Why Bringing the Image May Not Be Enough

Dependencies cannot be downloaded at any time in an offline environment, and the image file is only part of the delivered materials. This article refers to the Docker image archive document to discuss how to check the platform architecture, model files, configuration and permissions respectively, and proposes an isolated network verification method. The article does not recommend bypassing corporate network controls. The goal is to detect missing items in advance in an authorized environment and avoid temporary assembly on site.

Docker image save can archive images, but it does not automatically package all business data, external dependencies and model assets. The following is an analysis of ChinaOPC deployment preparation.

The list is established based on the actual startup link.

Record the CPU architecture, driver, runtime, model and tokenizer, configuration template and dependent service versions. The file should be accompanied by a check value and a license statement to confirm that the customer has the right to use it. All cache directories cannot be copied indiscriminately.

Complete a startup under similar restrictions

Simulate a test environment with external download capabilities disconnected and check whether the program still attempts to access online models or plug-ins. Verify the complete task with approved test input instead of just seeing the container running.

The update path also needs to be designed

Make it clear how new versions come in, who checks them, how old versions are retained, and how bug fixes are notified. Being offline does not mean that security maintenance is not required. This article is a deployment method. It does not claim that a certain image can be adapted to all customer hardware, nor does it mean that the customer's security approval has been completed.
