FDE Model Replacement: Testing Old and New Versions with the Same Samples

Replacing the model may improve certain tasks, or it may change the format, style, and tool calling behavior. This article designs a set of replacement acceptance methods for enterprises, saves samples according to real tasks, compares results, and records incompatibilities, explaining why procurement or R&D demonstrations cannot replace operational verification. The article gives the simulation process, and it is not recommended to directly overwrite the formal model configuration when evidence is lacking.

Progressive release and environmental protection documentation provide context for change management. The following is the ChinaOPC model replacement plan and does not report any independent evaluation results between manufacturers.

Samples are selected based on business risk and frequency

Simulate customer data assistant, covering common queries, long data, missing content, permission restrictions and tool failures. Preserve input versions with desired behavior to avoid new models being compared only on easy tasks.

The comparison does not just look at whether the answer is easy to read or not.

Check key facts, references, structure, scope of rejection, time and cost. A certain capability improvement does not mean that it is applicable to all, record the situations that still require manual processing, and let the customer decide whether it is worth migrating.

There are confirmation points for release and rollback.

After passing the test, first limit the scope of use and retain the old configuration and necessary compatibility mechanisms. If new issues arise during formal observation, it should be possible to stop the rollout and locate the discrepancy. This article is an acceptance design and does not constitute a commitment that replacing the model will necessarily improve efficiency or reduce costs.
