FDE Connector Delivery: Confirm Field Meanings after Establishing Connectivity

Returning data from an enterprise system does not mean that the integration has been completed. Field units, null values, and paging may change the business meaning. This article discusses how FDE establishes data conventions and sample verification for connectors, and clarifies how to handle interface changes and failures. The article provides a simulation implementation method that does not treat a connectivity test as a complete delivery, nor does it allow the model to guess the meaning of missing fields on its own.

JSON Schema and GitHub API best practices provide a reference for structure and interface processing. The following is a general enterprise integration design and does not mean that all interfaces have the same rules.

Data convention is written to specific fields

To simulate inventory query, you need to confirm whether the inventory is available for sale, physical or reserved, what region the time field is interpreted according to, and what the null value means. Customer business personnel and system maintainers jointly confirm that FDE writes these meanings into the mapping description.

Sample includes pagination and error response

Successfully returning a small amount of data may mask missing pages. The test needs to cover multiple pages, empty results, insufficient permissions and current limiting, and record the final record range obtained. The retry mode is set according to the requirements of the target system, and there is no unbounded concurrent reading.

Allow explicit failure when changes occur

When unknown fields or structures do not match, the system enters the waiting state first and does not automatically piece together the results and write them into the business. The delivery includes the version, error description and responsible person, so the customer can determine whether it is a data change or a connector failure. This article does not provide proof of completion for any specific system.
