Stripe official API documentation explains duplicate request handling with idempotent keys. The following is ChinaOPC’s design analysis of general AI business processes. Not all interfaces automatically provide the same guarantee.
Number corresponds to business intent
When a simulated customer submits a piece of information, the submission number should be generated by the business system and transmitted stably. A new number cannot be generated every time it is retried. The application records the received, processing, completed or pending status, allowing repeated notifications to query the records first, and then decide whether to return the existing results or wait.
Timeout does not necessarily mean incomplete
The downstream may have created the task, but the response was lost. At this time, the downstream results are checked first and cannot be created immediately. If a service supports idempotent keys, it must be used according to the scope, validity period and parameter rules of the service, and the mechanism of a certain document should not be applied to all suppliers.
Test duplication and concurrent arrival
Send the same notification simultaneously in an isolated environment, simulate response interruptions, and check that the business results occur only once. Database constraints and state transitions need to be co-designed, and model hints cannot replace these controls. Verification involving formal delivery or deduction should use test interfaces and explicit authorization.
