An algorithm engineer's allocation of work

A January 2026 Workers' Daily interview described Yueyang Technology founder Hong Yue handling core development, using AI for research, basic engineering and operations, and outsourcing some non-core work. That dated arrangement does not mean one person always performs every task.

Editorial analysis: decide what can be delegated

Time spent is not the only criterion. Founders need continuing control over decisions shaping performance, trust and technical knowledge. Formatting and test-data preparation may be delegated with clear inputs and acceptance. Retain control of interfaces, accounts and versions so immediate savings do not become migration burdens.

Map how requirements become deliverables, where customer secrets appear and which failures affect the whole order. Specify examples, prohibited actions and reviewers for delegable tasks. This is our management proposal, not a disclosed Yueyang policy.

Core capability is not all working hours

Full costs and current collaborators are undisclosed. Assess whether critical judgments remain controlled and maintenance survives collaborator changes, rather than comparing only employee numbers. Further reading: project acceptance checklist.
